ROBOTICS CAMP

AUGUST 9-11

BROWNING MIDDLE SCHOOL

OPEN TO ANY STUDENTS IN GRADES 6, 7, OR 8

(REGISTRATION LIMITED TO THE FIRST 60 STUDENTS)

 

This camp will be a hands-on experience using LEGOs designed to help our students discover how science and technology impact the world around them.  Students will learn to solve problems using robotics technology. Students will work together to brainstorm creative solutions to problems and implement the solutions through building models and testing and evaluating them.

 

We encourage all Browning Public Schools 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students to be part of this wonderful learning opportunity.  For more information, contact Jeri Matt, BPS curriculum director, at 338-2715 or by coming by the school administration office.

The Center for Native American Youth looks for ways to inspire Native youth. The organization's Champions for Change initiative recognizes and encourages Native American youth ages 14-24 working in their tribal or urban Indian communities to  make a positive impact.

Campus Portal - coming soon

Campus Portal is coming soon. It will be replacing the old Schoolmaster PASS system with lots more up to date information available to you as parents and students.

Logins and keys will be available soon after the school year starts in early September but you can bookmark the page now to get ready for the new school year at the Campus Portal web site.

Top District Writers Recognized

Writing Assessment students were recognized by the school board and administration during the May 28 board meeting for having the best written paper for their grade level. High School students with the best written papers receive a $50.00 scholarship check if present during the board meeting. Front L to R:

High School Summer School

Summer school will begin on June 9th and will end on June 27th. Classes will begin at 8:30 am and end at 4:30 pm each day. Mr. Harrell is the summer school coordinator. Students can enroll through their counselor. 

The program will consist of two components: 1) Attendance recovery and 2) Credit Recovery. Attendance recovery will be consistent with what is outlined through Board policy and will have the students rely on E-Learning. All credit recovery will be facilitated through the Montana Digital Academy with local high school teacher support. Students can enroll in one credit recovery classes at a time, as well as make up attendance hours in other classes. The following classes will be available for credit recovery through MTDA:
